Your fiends at Horror Society are teaming up with Days of the Dead horror convention to bring you two selections from their 48 Hour Independent Film Festival a week before the convention in Chicago. Curated by Jason Hoover, the films selected to screen this Friday, November 11th, at this event are She Was So Pretty and Diary of a Deadbeat.

As an added bonus, the director of She Was So Pretty, Brooklyn Ewing, along with that film’s star, Jerry Larew, will be in attendance for a Q&A and to meet fans. The screening begins at 7pm, with Diary of a Deadbeat to follow around 8:45pm. It will be taking place at Bucket O’ Blood Books and Records as part of Horror Society’s monthly Rising Talent series happening there. Bucket O’ Blood Books and Records is located at 3182 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL 60618.

Make sure to stop by early to shop around at one of the coolest stores in the world for genre fans! There will be a donation bar all night and the party is BYOB as well. In between the films, we will have some fun giveaways including passes for next weekend’s Days of the Dead convention! How cool is that?

See you Friday at Bucket O’ Blood! As always, IT’S TOTALLY FREE to enter!
