“MANOS” The Band of Fate

After 50 years, “MANOS: The Hands of Fate” the worst movie ever made (which is a questionable statement indeed) is at it’s height of popularity! With a sequel to the 1966 classic on the horizon, a full length Manos article in the September 2016 issue of Playboy, numerous plays, musicals, podcasts, off-shoot films and video games based on the film!

What else could the fans of Manos dream up?

How about a Manos themed rock band with the characters from the film! Yes that’s right, you heard right… the hero Mike on guitar and vocals, Torgo, the caretaker on drums, and (of course) The Master on Bass!

Their 3 albums (plus a “best of” CD) are available almost everywhere, including CDBaby and Amazon. These are not just some random rock tunes… no sir, these are songs, sung by the characters about themselves!  For example, there’s The Torgo Twitch, The Master of Disaster, and a song about Hal Warren (the director of Manos) called I Got a camera!

Now if you’re thinking that this sounds a little campy and silly… you are right! How can it NOT be? But that’s the idea! The worst movie deserves an equally strange and bizarre musical act!

Fans of Manos (the movie) seem to be excepting of almost anything Manos related, and the idea of their favorite characters in a band is no exception! Possibly that’s why the band is geared for the Comic and Horror Film conventions, where you can always find a good number of attendees in Manos costumes!
