I’ve been waiting to see some footage from Matt Cloude’s highly anticipated, unofficial entry in the George A. Romero franchise – Night of the Living Dead: Genesis. It’s cool to see a fresh take on such an iconic series, Matt’s brain is one of the best in the independent horror scene, and his film features the return of the one and only Judith O’Dea reprising the role that made her famous! Though I’m still unsure of how that last part will be handled, I’m still very excited that the first teaser trailer for Night of the Living Dead: Genesis has finally arrived on YouTube!

Cloude wrote and directed Night of the Living Dead: Genesis, which will star Sarah Snyder, Mike Lord Sr., Cyrus Sampson, David Witt, Melissa Eastwood, Alex Elliot, Tom Gore, Christy Johnson, George Stover and David Crawford (Dawn of the Dead). Those featured alongside Judith O’Dea include famous zombies like Jim Krut (Helicopter Zombie in Dawn of the Dead), Mike Christopher (Hare Krishna Zombie in Dawn of the Dead), Jeremy Ambler (Highway Walker in “The Walking Dead”) and Addy Miller (Teddy Bear Walker in “The Walking Dead”). What an excellent line-up!
