Scottish indie comedy/horror Baobhan Sith up for the Claw Award

Dark comedy/horror Baobhan Sith starring Janet De Vigne (Slumdog Millionaire) is up for Terror Film Festival’s Claw Award.  It’s a smorgasbord of kitsch with a campy B-movie feel which includes a family curse ,a Celtic demon, a bogman, a carnivorous plant and a really scary hen!

Premise: A filmmaker and her estranged daughter are coerced by an island laird to try and remove a family curse.

Made on a nano-budget over three years this meta-horror/dark comedy was loosely inspired by the kidnapping of South Korean film director Shin Sang-ok and his wife Choi Eun-hee who were forced to make films for North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il and the legend of the celtic demon the Baobhan Sith.
