Halloween: The Night Evil Died Unveils 2 New Posters!

14115067_1590866104547857_6661558962294488663_oI’m getting major Halloween: H20 vibes from this recently released promo poster and I think that’s really important when examining what the filmmakers behind Halloween: The Night Evil Died are trying to do with this fan film. Instead of making a general, unofficial feature length film in the series started by legendary master of horror, John Carpenter, Kohl V. Bladen and Jeffrey Moore are focusing in on the Laurie Strode story-line which was the may focus of Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween: H20 and momentarily in Halloween: Resurrection. This can be seen, mostly, in Michael Myers’ mask being scorched and tattered due to the oxygen tank explosions in Halloween II. It keeps up with continuity – an area the franchise failed to give a lot of attention to in later sequels.

The two posters (the second is featured below) are unveiled just as the fan film’s first Indiegogo campaign concludes. The first attempt at crowd funding yielded very minor success, but a marketing team has been brought on board this project and interested followers can look for a second campaign that will launch in the Fall. If at first you don’t succeed, then try and try again. No one knows this better than Michael Myers himself. What this all means is that Bladen and Moore are Hellbent on bringing their movie to Halloween fans… even if it kills them! There may have been some setbacks in getting proper funding, but I’m still hopeful that we can get this flick on our computer screens to hold us over until John Carpenter and Jason Blum bring Halloween back for a ninth movie in 2018.

Halloween: The Night Evil Died will pick up right where Halloween: Resurrection left off, with Michael Myers waking up in the morgue. He kills the coroner and disappears for fifteen years… only to resurface around Halloween when John Tate’s daughter, Emma Tate, has turned 17. See where this is headed yet? John Tate has recently passed away due to cancer and the secret of their family legacy has left Emma ill prepared for that horror that awaits her. Luckily, an unforeseen meeting with her great grandmother Pamela Strode in the city of Haddonfield, Illinois fills in the blanks and sets Emma on the path to stopping Michael Myers after decades of gruesome murders.

Juli Erickson (“Salem”), Sarah Cortez (The Conjuring 2), Emily Pearse, Brandon Tyler Russell, Loyal Thomas Ruddell, Sarah Palmer, Emily Lanelle, Cordell Broadus, Gradey Filion and Matt Hough are currently tapped to appear in the movie. Tony Moran is also returning to the world of Haddonfield, IL to play Michael Myers, a role he played once before in the original Halloween.
