13754403_258727261178199_4017146853962922970_nPolice deputy by day, horror filmmaker by night… It sounds like a good movie synopsis, but this is the reality for Ernest Serrano. Due to one of my social media friends, Dawna Lee Heising, I became aware of the California native’s debut feature film – Grim Weaver. Currently filming under Burnt Chili Productions, Grim Weaver is aiming for a October 2016 release, so let me educate you about this title to get your minds spinning and your anticipation going.

Grim Weaver will star Dawna Lee Heising (Ballot of Blood, Samurai Cop 2), Laura Meadows (“1000 Ways to Die”), Art Roberts (The Ceremony, Fear House), Malika Perkins Blessing, Mora Carew, Nikki Gallagher, Isaac Dean, Sid Burston and Bill Porter. Burston and Porter also served as producers on a movie that will feature cinematography from Enrique Martin Valdepena. Seth Wells will serve as editor.

Synopsis: Their marriages were perfect… or so it seemed. They had beautiful wives, talented children, powerful careers, wealth in abundance. But, lurking beneath the glossy exteriors of their narcissistic lives was a secret so dark, so dangerous, so deadly in its intent that it sent a spiritual emissary to lay claim to their lives!! Will they survive this killer from beyond the grave?

Grim Weaver is shooting at some amazing locations, including the Fresno Court House, San Joaquin College of Law and real life haunted UMC Hospital. Stay tuned for more updated on this exciting project!
