  • 1978 – Josh Hartnett who starred in “The Faculty,” “Halloween H2O” and “30 Days Of Night.” He is currently starring in the Showtime horror series “Penny Dreadful (TV Series).”
  • 1976 – Jaime Murray, has appeared in “Sleepy Hollow (TV Series)”, “Warehouse 13 (TV Series)”, “Fright Night 2”, “Devil’s Playground”, “Demons (TV Movie)”, “The Deaths of Ian Stone” and more.
  • 1964 – Susan Swift, who appeared in “Audrey Rose” and “Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.”
  • 1960 – Lance Guest who appeared in “Jaws: The Revenge,” “Halloween 2″ and “The Last Starfighter.”
  • 1955 – Adrienne King, is one of the final girls in “Friday the 13th”, “Friday the 13th Part 2”, “Psychic Experiment”, “Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming” and “Tales of Poe.”
  • 1952 – The late Comedian Robin Williams., who has gone serious on us in such movies as “The Night Listener,” “Insomnia” and “One Hour Photo.”
  • 1948 – Art Hindle who appeared in the original “Black Christmas,” the 1978 version of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” and “The Brood.”
  • 1943 – The late Edward Herrmann who appeared in “The Lost Boys” and “My Boyfriend’s Back.”
  • 1929 – John Woodvine, is a very distinguished British actor who played in a multitude of films and TV, but he will probably best be remembered for portraying “Dr. Hirsch” in “An American Werewolf in London.”
  • 1927 – AIP creature creator, Paul Blaisdell.
  • 1924 – Don Knotts who starred in “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken” and “The Incredible Mr. Limpet.”
  • 1910 – Motoyoshi Oda who appeared in “The Invisible Avenger,” “Gigantis the Fire Monster” and “Ghost Man.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY

  • 2006 – Prolific character actor Mako passed away at the age of 72. Besides appearing on numerous episodes of M*A*S*H, he also starred in “Robo Cop 3″ “Conan The Barbarian,” “Conan The Destroyer” and provided the voice of Splinter” in the 2007 version of “TMNT.”
  • 2004 – Composer Jerry Goldsmith, whose film scores include the 1999 versions of The Haunting,” “The Mummy” and “The Star Trek” films, passed away ath the age of 75.
  • 1996 – Luana Anders, appeared in such films as “Night Tide”, “Pit and the Pendulum”, “Dementia 13″, “The Outer Limits (TV Series)”, “Doppelganger.” She was 58.
  • 1967 – The one and only Basil Rathbone, who starred as “The Son of Frankenstein,” “Sherlock Holmes” and in the numerous films such as “The Black Sleep” and “Tales of Terror,” passed away at the age of 75.
  • 1948 – Film Pioneer D.W. Griffith, passed away at the age of 73. He was the uncredited director of the film “One Million B.C.”
