  • 1982 – Tatsuya Fujiwara, who co-starred in “Batoru Rowaiaru” and “Batoru Rowaiaru II : Chinknoka,” better known as “Battle Royale I & II.”
  • 1982 – Alexandra Breckinridge, who co-starred in the films “Wishcraft”, “Vampire Clan”, “The Walking Dead (TV Series)” and appeared in the TV series “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “American Horror Story.”
  • 1981 – Jacqui Holland, has appeared in “Dracula’s Sorority Sisters”, “Axeman 2: Overkill”, “Erotic Vampires of Beverly Hills”, “The Walking Deceased”, “Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys”, “The Brides of Sodom”, “Monsters in the Woods” and many more.
  • 1981 – Alex Burton, who was the first to play “Pyro” in the first “X-Men” film.
  • 1981 – Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who co-starred in “Campfire Stories” and ” Dark Ride.”
  • 1978 – Caroline Dhavernas, stars on “Hannibal” and has appeared in “Devil.”
  • 1971 – Sam Trammell, who stars in the HBO series “True Blood,” and appeared in the film “Aliens vs Predator: Requiem”
  • 1963 – Brenda Bakke, appeared in “Death Spa”, “Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight”, “American Gothic (TV Series)”, “Charmed (TV Series)”, “Dark Angel (TV Series).”
  • 1918 – Joseph Wiseman who played “Dr. No” in the “Bond” film of the same name.
  • 1912 – André De Toth, who directed the original “House of Wax.”
  • 1909 – The late James Mason, who appeared in the TV films “Frankenstein: The True Story” and “Salem’s Lot,” and as “Captain Nemo” in “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.”
  • 1905 – Joseph Cotten who starred in the films “Latitude Zero,” “The Abominable Dr. Phibes” and “Lady Frankenstein.”
  • 1856 – L. Frank Baum who created “The Wizard of Oz.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY – MAY 15

  • 2008 – Alexander Courage, who composed the title theme for the original “Star Trek” TV show, passed away at the age of 88. He also composed/orchestrated music for the movies/TV series’ “Lost in Space,” Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “Jurassic Park.”
  • 1994 – Royal Dano, appeared in “The Dark Half”, “Ghoulies II”, “Killer Klowns from Outer Space”, “House II: The Second Story”, “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, “Moon of the Wolf”, “Rod Serling’s Night Gallery (TV Series)” and many more. He passed away at the age of 71.
  • 1988 – Andrew Duggan who appeared in “A Return To Salem’s Lot,” “It’s Alive” and “Frankenstein Island,” passed away at the age of 64. He also played “Major Maragaret ‘Hot Lips’ Houlihan’s” father on “M*A*S*H.”
  • 1972 – Nigel Green who appeared in the films “The Skull,” “Corridors of Blood” and “Countess Dracula,” passed away at the age of 47.
