  • 1962 – Jennifer Rubin, who starred in “Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors,” “Bad Dreams” and “Screamers”
  • 1961 – Eddie Murphy, starred in the Wes Craven directed “Vampire in Brooklyn”, “The Nutty Professor”, and “The Haunted Mansion.”
  • 1958 – Alec Baldwin who played the title role of “The Shadow.”
  • 1944 – Mario Bava’s son, Lamberto Bava, director of “Demons” & “Demons 2.”
  • 1939 – Eric Braeden who starred in the films “Colossus The Forbin Project,” “Death Race,’” “Escape From the Planet of the Apes,” and “The Werewolf” episode of “The Night Stalker.”
  • 1926 – Andrew Keir who starred in the films “Quatermass & the Pit,” “Dracula, Prince of Darkness,” & “Dr. Who and the Daleks.”
  • 1924 – Marlon Brando, who is considered to be one of the greatest actors of our time. He played “Dr. Moreau” in the 1996 version of “The Island of Dr. Moreau” and “Jor-El” father of Kal-El” in the 1978 version of “Superman.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY – APRIL 3

  • 2006 – Joseph Bernard, who appeared in the films “The Granny,” ” Warlock: The Armageddon” and the TV series’ “Star Trek” and “The Twilight Zone,” passed away at the age of 82.
  • 1999 – Writer/director Howard Cohen, whose credit’s include the films “Saturday the 14th,” “The Vampire Hookers” and “Space Raiders,” passed away at the age of 56.
  • 1996 – Herk Harvey, the producer/director and star of “Carnival of Souls” passed away at the age of 71.
  • 1982 – Warren Oates, great character actor known for action films like “The Wild Bunch”, “Stripes” and “Sleeping Dogs.” He also appeared in “Tales of the Unexpected (TV Series)”, “The Outer Limits (TV Series)”, “Twilight Zone (TV Series)”, “Thriller (TV Series)” and more. He passed away at the age of 53.
  • 1944 – Silent screen star Conrad Veidt, who starred in the films “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari,” “Der Januskopf,” and “The Man Who Laughs,” passed away at the age of 50.
