From The Press Release
On March 25th, Swedish metal kings Amon Amarth will unleash their 10th studio album, Jomsviking, via Metal Blade Records (North America)/Sony Music (International)! Jomsviking – the band’s first concept record in their storied career – tells a tragic, original tale of conflict and revenge, backed by the Swedes’ trademark melodic, anthemic metal, which was produced and mixed once again by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Testament, Accept) and also features special guest session drummer Tobias Gustafsson (Vomitory). For a preview of Jomsviking, fans can watch the new video for the album track, “At Dawn’s First Light”, at: amonamarth.com
Produced by Rafal Szermanowkicz/Grupa 13 (https://www.grupa13.com) and directed by Darek Szermanowicz (Behemoth), “At Dawn’s First Light” is set in an epic battle scene in a Slavic settlement from the 9th-10th century (https://www.ukranenland.de) – with the band caught in the middle of the bloody fight! The video features an appearance by the modern Viking warriors known as the Triglav Jomsborg East Storm who are lead by the ruthless and energetic fight director Igor Gorewicz.
For another preview of Jomsviking, the first official video, “First Kill” (also produced by Grupa 13 and directed by Darek Szermanowicz – but with powerful live footage of Amon Amarth performing with their full dragon head and pyro stage-set!), can be viewed at: amonamarth.com
Leading up to Jomsviking‘s release, fans can visit amonamarth.com for a more in-depth look into the album, where a special digital picture book campaign has been launched.
