  • 1986 – Alexandra Daddario, has appeared in “Bereavement”, “Texas Chainsaw 3D”, “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”, “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”, and “True Detective (TV Series)”, “American Horror Story (TV Series)” and more.
  • 1981 – Joe Egender who co-starred in the films “April Fools Day” (2008) and “The Hamiltons.”
  • 1975 – Sienna Guillory, who co-starred in “Resident Evil “Apocalypse,” “Eragon” and the 2002 remake of “The Time Machine.”
  • 1971 – Alan Tudyk, has appeared in “Firefly (TV Series)”, “V (TV Series)”, “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil”, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
  • 1964 – Gore Verbinski, who directed “The Ring” and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films
  • 1961 – Comic artist and owner of McFarlane toys, Todd McFarlane.
  • 1952 – Irwin Keyes, has appeared in “The Exterminator”, “Frankenstein General Hospital”, “Disturbed”, “Tales from the Crypt (TV Series)”, “Asylum”, “House of 1000 Corpses”, “Horror High”, “Dahmer vs. Gacy” and many more.
  • 1950 – Kate Nelligan, who appeared in the 1979 version of “Dracula,” “Wolf,” “Fatal Instinct” and “Premonition.”
  • 1949 – Erik Estrada, aside from starring as “Ponch” on “CHiPs (TV Series)”, he has also appeared in “Chupacabra vs. the Alamo”, “Oliver Twisted”, “King Cobra”, “Alien Seed”, “Kolchak: The Night Stalker (TV Series)” and more.
  • 1949 – Joseph Pilato, who starred as “Captain Rhodes” in the original “Day of the Dead.” He also appeared in the films “Wishmaster,” “The Ghouls” and “Alienator.”
  • 1930 – Masaya Takahashi, who appeared in the films “Goke, the Body Snatcher From Hell” and “Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: The Giant Monsters’ General Offensive.”
  • 1926 – Funnyman Jerry Lewis, who starred in the films “Scared Stiff,” “Visit to a Small Planet” and the original “Nutty Professor.”
  • 1920 – Leo McKern, who starred in the films “X-The Unknown,” “The Day the Earth Caught Fire,” “Damien: The Omen II” and was the only actor to appear as “Number Two” twice on the original “The Prisoner” series.
  • 1916 – Mercedes McCambridge, who provided the voice of the demon “Pazuzu” in the film “The Exorcist.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY – MARCH 16

  • 2007 – Cletus Anderson, production designer and special effects man for the films “Creepshow,” “Day Of The Dead,” and the 1990 remake of “Night of the Living Dead,” passed away at the age of 69.
  • 2005 – Anthony George, who played “Burke Devlin” and “Jeremiah Collins” on “Dark Shadows,” passed away at the age of 84.
  • 2000 – Writer/actor Stanley Ralph Ross, who wrote and acted in such shows as “Batman,” “Far Out Space Nuts” and “Wonder Woman,” passed away at the age of 62.
  • 1984 – Shug Fisher, appeared in “The Ghost of Cypress Swamp”, “Kolchak: The Night Stalker (TV Series)”, “The Giant Gila Monster.” He died at 76 years old.
