- 1979 – Pollyanna McIntosh, Irish actress who’s appeared in “Tales of Halloween”, “The Blood Lands”, “Let Us Prey” “The Woman”, “Offspring”, and more.
- 1963 – One of the most gifted make-up artists of our time and co-creator of the KNB Efx Group, Greg Nicotero, he also is executive producer and head of makeup FX for “The Walking Dead”.
- 1959 – Director/writer/producer Renny Harlin, whose films include “Exorcist: The Beginning,” “The Covenant,” “Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master” and “Deep Blue Sea.”
- 1957 – Sergio Stivaletti, Italian makeup FX artist who worked on “Phenomena”, “Demons”, “Cemetery Man”, “Demons 2″, “Opera”, “The Church”, and many, many more.
- 1955 – Front man for the group Twisted Sister, Dee Snider. He was writer/producer/composer and star of the film “Strangeland.” and stars on the Adam Green sitcom “Holliston”.
- 1954 – Craig Wasson, who starred in the films “Ghost Story,” “Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors” and “Body Double.”.
- 1943 – Director David Cronenberg, whose film credits include “Rabid,” “The Dead Zone,” “Scanners” and the 1986 remake of “The Fly.”

- 2009 – Ron Silver, who co-starred in the films “Silent Rage,” “The Entity and “Timecop,” passed away at the age of 62.
- 2007 – Alice Backes who co-starred in “The Twonky,” appeared on the TV series “The Munsters,” “Boris Karloff’s Thriller” and Kolchak: The Night Stalker,” passed away at the age of 83.
- 2007 – Stuart Roseneberg, who directed the 1979 version of “The Amityville Horror,” passed away at the age of 79.
- 2004 – Chuck Niles, who appeared in the films, “Invisible Invaders,” “Face of the Screaming Werewolf” and “Nightmare Circus,” passed away at the age of 76.
- 1984 – Kay Harding, appeared in “The Mummy’s Curse”, “Ghost Catchers”, “The Scarlet Claw” and “Weird Woman.” She died at the age of 60.
- 1937 -The father of modern horror H.P. (Howard Phillips) Lovecraft, passed away at the age of 46. His written works include “Hebert West, Re – Animator,” “The Case of Charles Dexter Ward” on which the film “Haunted Palace” was based and “The Colour Out of Space” on which the films “Die Monster Die” and “The Curse” were based.
