At the age of 26 he booked his first on screen credit in TV show “Hunter” before landing one of the lead roles in the “Raft” segment of Creepshow 2 (1987). Satterfield played the role of Deke, the blonde guy rocking a banana hammick for most of the segment. Deke finds himself stranded on a wooden raft in the middle of a lake while a seemingly coherent floating sludge attacks him and his three friends. Creepshow 2 held the #2 spot at the box office for two weeks and ended its theatrical run with $14,000,000 in domestic ticket sales, covering its production budget by almost 500%.

Following the success of Creepshow 2, Satterfield booked the lead role in scifi-thriller Arena (1989) before making the jump to television, a decision he has since made permanent. He started off as one of the leads in “Hotel Malibu” before in 1994 and finished 1995 with a ton of guest spots on shows including “Hope and Gloria,” “Murder One,” “New York Daze” and “Renegade.” 1997 turned out to be his biggest year to date as he maintained three recurring roles on dramas “Savannah” and “Pacific Palisades” as well as family’s “7th Heaven.” It wasn’t until 1998 that he made his first and only return to the horror genre with a guest spot in a single episode of “Poltergeist: The Legacy.”

So, where is Paul Satterfield now?

Paul continued to act on television for the remainder of his career. He finished out the millennium with a recurring role on “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 1999 before booking a series of guest spots on popular television shows like “Just Shoot Me,” “The Pretender,” “Profiler” and “Will & Grace” from 2000 to 2001. After a career lull and an attempt to return to movies, Satterfield returned to soap operas with a starring role on “One Life to Live” from 2005 to 2007. He was even acting up until 2011 with a recurring role in “The Bay,” but has fallen off the radar ever since.
