The upcoming horror sequel, Rings was scheduled to open in theaters on April 1, 2016 but now studio execs have decided to push the film back to a Halloween season date slot.
Rings will now open on October 28th, 2016, a date more suited to the film I believe.
The studio stated the spring is a crowded time and opted to push back the film to October.
According to Deadline: Halloween is the prime time for Rings, it will battle Lionsgate’s untitled horror film as well as Ron Howard’s third Dan Brown feature adaptation, Inferno, from Sony.
