Ah, Tamara Feldman… One of the many horror recasts that have been left unexplained, at least to my knowledge! The television actress and horror star was born in December of 1980 in Kansas, her beautiful appearance being attributed to her Cherokee and Mexican descant. Tamara started acting in 2002 as a guest spot performer on hit shows including “Smallville,” “Jake 2.0” “Boston Legal,” “Monk” and “Supernatural.” After only four years in the business she landed her first starring role, in a horror movie, as Marybeth Dunstan in Hatchet (2006). The Adam Green directed feature went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year and many people applauded Feldman’s work as the final girl who barely survives Victor Crowley.
Maybe due in part to her frequent television schedule, Tamara was not apart of Hatchet II in 2010; the part eventually going to scream queen Danielle Harris. So, instead, she proceeded on with her guest spots on shows including “CSI: NY,” “Royal Pains,” “One Tree Hill and “Drop Dead Diva.” These credits lead her to more recurring roles – when she played Natalie Kimpton on “Dirty Sexy Money” from 2007 to 2009 and Poppy Lifton on “Gossip Girl” from 2008 to 2012.
So, where is Tamara Feldman now?
Tamara returned to the horror genre several times following Hatchet. She was a supporting cast member in Something’s Wrong in Kansas (2008), the second female lead in Alyce Kills (2011) and a supporting character in Bloodwork (2012). She has also kept up with her television appearances, her most recent being an episode of “Switched At Birth” in 2013. Feldman also took a stab at working behind-the-scenes in 2013 when she wrote, directed, produced and appeared in the short drama Resurrection Slope.
