  • 2011 – John Paxton, father of Bill Paxton. He was a actor and producer in such films as “Drag Me to Hell”, “Spider-Man 1-3”, “Frailty”, “Psycho Cop Returns” and “Brain Dead.” He was 91.
  • 2005 – Maurice Zimm, who wrote the story “Creature From The Black Lagoon” on which the screenplay was based, passed away at the age of 96.
  • 1998 – Character actor Dick O’Neil, who appeared in “The Wolfen” and “Gammera, The Invincible,” passed away at the age of 70.
  • 1987 – Arthur C. Pierce, who directed the films “The Navy vs. the Night Monsters,” “Women of the Prehistoric Planet” and “Mutiny in Outer Space,” passed away at the age of 64.
  • 1979 – Master monster mask maker Don Post passed away at the age of 77.
