Comedic Actor Warren Mitchell Has Passed Away.

warren-mitchell-03It was announced this evening that comedic actor Warren Mitchell passed away in the early hours of Saturday, November 14th. He was surrounded by loved ones at his home and passed away after “a long period of illness” at age 89.

Warren Mitchell was an accredited actor with dozens of roles on his resume. He is most known, though, for playing Alf Garnett in the Till Death Franchise including Till Death Do Us Part (1969), The Alf Garnett Saga (1972), “Till Death Do Us Part” from 1966 to 1975, “Till Death…” in 1981, “In Sickness and In Health” from 1985 to 1992, An Audience with Alf Garnett (1997) and “The Thoughts of Chairman Alf” in 1998.

Being that this is a horror website, it is important to note that Warren had several supporting roles in horror/scifi movies in the 50’s and 60’s. They include The Crawling Eye (1958), The Curse of the Werewolf (1961), Unearthly Stranger (1963), Blood Beast from Outer Space (1965) and Moon Zero Two (1969)
