After John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN premiered in a theatre in Kansas City, Missouri on October 25th, 1978, the horror film took the country by storm. Over 35 years later, it has earned the title of one of the most successful independent horror films of all time, launched a huge franchise and has been making audiences scream ever since its debut. This seminal film, directed by John Carpenter, who co-wrote the film with Debra Hill, also received a very rare honor when it was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation.

As a six year old, Michael Myers brutally killed his older sister on a cold Halloween night in 1963. After being locked away in prison for 15 years, he escapes and returns to his quiet hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he looks for his next victims including his surviving sister, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis).

Celebrate the horror of Halloween and don’t miss your chance to see this classic horror film back on the big screen.
