- 2011 – Jimmy Sangster, One of the creative forces behind the legendary Hammer Studios. He was a writer/producer/director of such films as “The Horror of Frankenstein”, “Lust for a Vampire”, “Fear in the Night”, “The Curse of Frankenstein”, “Horror of Dracula”, “The Mummy”, “The Brides of Dracula”, “Dracula: Prince of Darkness” and so many more films. He passed away at the age of 83.
- 2005 – Mel Welles, who starred in “Abbott & Costello Meet The Mummy,” “Attack of the Crab Monsters,” “The She Beast” and the original “Little Shop of Horrors,” passed away at the age of 81.
- 1991 – Oliver Drake, who wrote the screenplays for the films “The Mummy’s Curse” and “Las Vegas Strangler,” passed away at the age of 88.
- 1987 – Hayden Rorke best known for playing “Colonel Bellows” on the TV series “I Dream of Jeannie” and who also appeared in the films “The Night Walker” and “When Worlds Collide, ” passed away at the age of 76.
- 1984 – George Meeker, who appeared in the films “The Invisible Monster,” “Superman” (1948) and “Dead Man’s Eyes,” passed away at the age of 80.
- 1976 – Alastair Sim who starred as “Ebenezer Scrooge” in the 1951 version of “A Christmas Carol,” passed away at the age of 75.
- 1961 – Professional apeman Charles Gemora, passed away four days after his 51st birthday. He appeared in the films “I Married a Monster From Outer Space,” “War of the Worlds,” “Island of Lost Souls” (1933) and “The Unholy Three” (1930).
