It’s about time someone released an R-rated animated horror film! Freestyle Releasing is bringing Hell & Back to theaters this September. The stop motion animated film is in the same vein as Team America: World Police and South Park. The film features the voice talents of Mila Kunis, Danny McBride, and Susan Sarandon about three friends and their misadventure through Hell. Read on after the break for more details. What in the world are the producers of Robot Chicken, Triptank and BoJack Horseman doing now?! This October, they’re taking you on a trip to HELL and BACK with Mila Kunis, Nick Swardstrom, and T.J. Miller. The film HELL AND BACK uses stop motion animation to tell the story of two best friends, Remy (Swardstrom) and Augie (Miller), who set out on a mission to rescue their friend Curt (Rob Riggle) after he is accidentally dragged into hell. With the help of a beautiful half human-half demon, Deema (Kunis) and casual run-ins with an emasculated Devil (Bob Odenkirk), a sassy angel (Jennifer Coolidge), and a mythical man (Danny McBride) this trip seems to be one HELL of an ride.
This R-Rated adventure shows that cartoons aren’t just for kids anymore! Not to mention fans have been waiting for HELL AND BACK since 2011 when it earned recognition from sources including Yahoo, MovieWeb, The Wrap, Business Insider, AMC and more. Scheduled for an October 2nd release, Hell and Back will debut it’s trailer on August 12th.

Plot Synopsis
Remy, Augie, and Curt have been best friends since birth. When they jokingly take a blood oath and break it, Curt is dragged to Hell to be sacrificed. The guys must risk everything to save their friend from a slew of misfit demons, Greek legends, and the Devil himself. Are they prepared?… No, absolutely not.
