The film-makers behind the first Portuguese dinosaur splatter short film, “Dentes e Garras!”, have concluded shooting it’s sequel, entitled “Dentes & Garras 2” a.k.a “Fangs & Claws 2”. The shooting took place in the Azores archipelago in Portugal, after a successful crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo.
The director(Francisco Lacerda) and producer(Amarino França) are now overseeing the post-production phase of the project which is inspired by the trashy creature features of the 70s and early 80s. Meanwhile an official still from the set of the movie depicting one of the main antagonists of the film. The still was first released through the Stan Winston School of Character Arts facebook page, garnering curiosity from it’s followers. And now the first Behind the Scenes video has been made public, showing some of the crazy moments on set.
About “Dentes e Garras!”
The first movie has gone through a festival run last year in various European Film Festivals like Motelx; B-Movie, Underground and Trash Film Fest and Fantasporto to name a few, and had some amazing positive feedback from the audiences. It also won 4 awards, including Best Short film at the Área de Contenção Horror Film Fest, and garnered a total of 12 nominations including Best Portuguese Horror Short in Motelx 2014. The short is currently awaiting response from a few more festivals and will be available online by the end of this year.
