11269236_360391640819535_4743776288377950373_nI’m so happy to hear that “Bitten” was renewed for a third season. It has become one of my favorite shows on television; and season two was so much more of an intense saga, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for viewers next. “Bitten” is produced in Canada and has been the #1 show on the Space Channel there for over a year. It is only imported to The United States, where it airs on SyFy to modest ratings. As long as the werewolf drama continues to succeed in its home country, further seasons will continue to air worldwide.

Here’s the release from Space Channel:

For fans of incredibly well-coiffed werewolves, Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth. Earlier this afternoon Bitten star Laura Vandervoort appeared on a special edition CTV’s The Social taped on-location at the California theme park to announce that the popular horror/fantasy series has been renewed for a third gory season.

“We are extremely excited to be headed back into production for a third season and are so proud of our success on Space,” says the show’s Executive Producer J.B Sugar.

Yeah, we’re pretty excited too, especially considering the cliff-hanger that the season two finale left us with. Obviously, we have to know what happens!

Season three is set to begin filming this summer/fall in Toronto and stars Vandervoort, Greyston Holt, Greg Bryk, Steve Lund, and Genelle Williams. No word on the witches just yet but stay tuned for updates.

If you have yet to sink your teeth into Bitten, you can catch up on the first season streaming now on CraveTV, while Season gets CTV airing in July.
