  • 2004 – Anthony Ainley who was the fourth actor to play “Master” in the “Doctor Who” series and who also appeared in the films “The Blood On Satan’s Claw,” “Doomwatch” and “The Land That Time Forgot,” passed away at the age of 71.
  • 2003 – Suzy Parker, who appeared in the film “Chambers of Horror” and the TV series’ “Twilight Zone” and “Night Gallery,” passed away at the age of 70.
  • 1986 -Robert Alda, father of Alan Alda, passed away at the age of 72. Some of his film appearances included “The Beast With Five Fingers,” “The Devil’s Hand,” and “House of Exorcism.”
  • 1986 – Irving Block who did special effects work on the films “The Giant Behemoth,” “The Atomic Submarine” and “Kronos,” to name a few, passed away at the age of 75.
  • 1972 – Bruce Cabot, who played “Jack Driscoll” in the original “King Kong,” passed away at the age of 68.
  • 1969 – Karl Freund who was the Cinematographer for “I Love Lucy,” and for the 1920 version of “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde,” directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Bela Lugosi and Conrad Viedt, “The Golem,” and “Metropolis,” and the 1931 version of “Dracula,” passed away at the age of 79. He made his debut as a director with “The Mummy” in 1932.
  • 1954 – Tom Tyler, played in countless western serials but was notable for portraying “Kharis” in “The Mummy’s Hand.” He passed away at the young age of 50.
  • 1933 – Frederick Kerr, who played Henry Frankenstein’s father in the film “Frankenstein,” passed away at the age of 74.
