I was thrilled last night when I saw that director Joe Lynch was doing his own Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) that was scheduled for this afternoon. I’ve been a huge fan since he did Wrong Turn 2: Dead End in 2007. Since then he’s written, directed or produced a number of other noteworthy projects including the “Zom-B-Movie” segment of Chillerama (2011), Knights of Badassdom (2013) and the FEARnet television series “Holliston” from 2012 – 2013.
He’s also acted in Hatchet II (2010) and “Holliston” and worked on projects like Lloyd Kaufman’s Terror Firmer (1999), but most recently he’s enjoying the success of his latest directorial effort, Everly, which stars Oscar nominee Salma Hayek. Everly, an action-thriller, is currently available on all VOD platforms but will officially hit DVD and Blu-ray started tomorrow, April 21st, courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment.
Maybe to build interest in the disc release tomorrow or maybe just to show gratitude toward his legion of loyal fans, Joe Lynch conducted his Reddit AMA as scheduled and was extremely candid and personable with his answers. I love how friendly and silly he was, and it gave a really in depth look at his processes as a film creator and as a human being. I know it meant a lot to the fans, so he should be saluted for this!
Below you will find all of the best moments from his Q & A, starting with my questions of course. The entire Reddit AMA can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/33a2fx/i_am_joe_lynch_director_of_everly_with_salma/.
