Good news for Rob Zombie fans as his upcoming film 31 has been picked up for distribution and it hasn’t even finished filming yet. Alchemy has acquired North American distribution rights to the film.
The deal was sealed by Alchemy CEO Bill Lee, who has been on a tear since restructuring and re-branding Millennium Entertainment.
“Rob Zombie is a true artist and master filmmaker at the height of his game,” Lee said. “With 31 he’s creating yet another terrifyingly immersive and twisted world that will delight audiences. Alchemy’s mission is to connect exceptional storytellers with existing and new fans, and we look forward to doing so with Rob’s latest work.”
Zombie said he was “thrilled to work with a company sharing the same vision for my film 31 as I have. Alchemy has committed to bringing the most intense experience possible to the screen.”
31 stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Richard Brake, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Lew Temple, Meg Foster, and Malcolm McDowell.
Plot Synopsis
31 follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World. Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which ‘The Heads’- murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.
