Here is a story about a horror title we all know and love.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Remember those? So many people do, with intense vividness. It introduced so many people to the horror world at a young age.
In the past week we’ve been mentioned on Nerdist.com and AV Club. Why? Because we’re producing a documentary about the books, we’re trending on Indiegogo, and we have the family of author Alvin Schwartz to help us get the inside story.

The folktales and urban legends in those books provided some great stories to tell, but the books themselves have great things to say in documentary form, about children’s literature, censorship of children’s books, gothic children’s literature throughout the ages, and of course, the illustrations! We feel there is a huge audience for this documentary as well as an audience that would be interested in hearing news of it online.
