Sharknado, the film series that just won’t die has received an officially bad title and an air date. The film, from those purveyors of B-movies, The Asylum has now titled the film Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! No, this is not a joke, it’s the official release title. Syfy has also set an air date of July 22, 2015 for the film.
Despite nearly a three week long labor strike the film still managed to make its targeted air date.
The Asylum produced third installment in the fishy franchise will hit screens in 86 counties around the globe with a day of its 9 PM U.S. debut this summer. “We wanted this third title to boldly go where no shark movie has gone before,” says Chris Regina, Syfy SVP, Program Strategy, “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! embraces the larger-than-life irreverence that has made these movies so popular and entertaining.”
Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! is once again directed by Anthony C. Ferrante with Thunder Levin handling the script. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid return as leads and again will feature a bevy of cameos.
The film will take the action to the nation’s capital and down to Florida. With a cameo by former Congresswoman and GOP Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann as herself, Oh Hell No! will see Jerry Springer as a tourist NFL player Tom Compton as a reporter, *NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, and ex-wrestler Chris Jericho as a roller coaster ride operator, Sharknado 3 will also feature Shark Tank co-host Mark Cuban as the President of the United States and best-selling author Ann Coulter as the VP.
