Color me shocked! As someone who grew up on the Nickelodeon Channel from the early 90s to mid 2010s, I was shocked to see Miranda Cosgrove headlining a new film like this. She was supporting cast on “Drake and Josh” from 2004 to 2007 and then found even bigger fame as the title character on “iCarly” from 2007 to 2012. Since the show finished airing, Cosgrove enrolled in college and did sporadic voice overs in movies. Not only am I pumped to see her in her first adult film role, but I’m also pleased to see her as the lead actress in her first horror film!
You’ll be able to see this footmark in her career when The Intruders hits DVD on February 24, 2015 courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
In The Intruders, “Every town has its secrets, as college student Rose Halshford learns when she and her father move into a musty, old house. When Rose discovers that the previous tenant mysteriously disappeared, leaving her possessions behind, she suspects her unfriendly neighbor may know more than he lets on. When Rose reports strange noises coming from inside the house, no one, not even her father, believes her, insisting that it’s all in her head. As Rose’s suspicions grow, she begins to fear that she may be the next victim of whomever or whatever has infiltrated her new home.”
The Intruders is written by Jason Juravic and directed by Adam Massey. Cast members appearing alongside Cosgrove include Donal Logue (“Gotham,” “Grounded for Life”), Tom Sizemore (Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan), Jenessa Grant (“Reign”), Austin Butler (“Arrow,” “The Carrie Diaries”), and Kelly Boegel.
