One of the newest horror conventions on the block and by all accounts one of the biggest is Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett’s own Kirk Von Hammett’s “Fear FestEvil” con which combines Hammett’s lifelong love of horror and musical acts. Last year saw his inaugural horror con kick-off in San Francisco to much praise and acclaim from both fans and celebrities alike. This year the show moves to San Jose on April 10-12 and Hammett has a lot in store for attendees. His guest musical lineup was just announced and we have all that info and more down below.

Fear FestEvil curator, host, and lifelong horror enthusiast Kirk Von Hammett knows not the meaning of mediocrity.
For the second installment of his annual “Fear FestEvil” horror convention, he’s dug deeper into his crypt for the makings of another spectacular three-day event.
Part One: A Murder Mystery Dinner/VIP Party to be held at the legendary Winchester Mystery House in San José, California on Friday, April 10th. It’ll be a classic night of “whodunnit” madness dining alongside Kirk Hammett and touring the famously eerie mansion while unraveling clues from invited “horror royalty” to solve the “who killed who” mystery with all the expected plot twists & turns!
Part Two: A concert line-up for a raucous weekend party that’ll raise the frikkin’ dead.
Performing live at the RockBar Theater in San José on Saturday & Sunday, April 11th & 12th will be MESHUGGAH, AGNOSTIC FRONT, and ORCHID, in addition to the North American debut of multicultural blues rock band BLUES PILLS. Besides the live performances, there will also be another exhibit of some of the finest pieces in any modern collection of horror memorabilia will be on display at the RockBar.
“It has always been my intention that “Fear FestEvil” events carry both the weird and the loud,” states Kirk Hammett, “and what better way to achieve another extension of what we want to do than eat dinner in a haunted house while solving criminal acts before a weekend of super kick-ass music?!”
