‘Walking Dead’ Adding First Gay Character for Second Half of Season 5 as Series Regular?

Ross MarquandIt was announced today that AMC’s The Walking Dead has cast Ross Marquand (pictured) as a new series regular for the second half of Season 5. Marquand’s character is being kept under wraps for now, but it’s possible that he will be the gay character that creator Robert Kirkman said would be introduced in the second half of Season 5. Read on for more details.

Relative newcomer Ross Marquand will join the zombie drama based on Robert Kirkman’s long-running comics.

Marquand’s character will be introduced in the second half of the show’s fifth season and will be a series regular — with the likelihood to serve in the same capacity in the already announced sixth season.

While details on which character Marquand is playing are being kept under wraps, Kirkman previously noted on Talking Dead that a “prominent” gay character from his comics would be introduced in the second half of season five. Rumors are saying that Marquand might be playing the “Aaron” character from the comics’ Alexandria storyline.

We’ll have to wait to find out on this one, but the plot thickens.

  1. Sorry but, people don’t care anymore about TWD… You are just putting news about it… Put more about something else (on tv or not)! Site is getting boring :)
