I know a lot of people are quick to judge and condemn Uwe Boll, but I don’t know what all the hate is about. To be honest, the only works of his I’ve actually seen are House of the Dead (2003), Alone in the Dark (2005), and Bloodrayne (2005). While they were lacking in some departments, I wouldn’t say they were horrible by any means. Unless his professionalism as a director has severely diminished within the last ten years, I’m going to remain slightly optimistic about the new feature he currently has in development stages. Here’s the brief synopsis:
“After the Earth is ravaged by an evil virus, we rely on the one creature that was a myth our entire lives to save us.”
The movie I’m talking about is called… Bigfoots vs. Zombies. Yes, you read that right. Bigfoots vs. Zombies. There will be cryptids/missing links battling legions of the undead flesh eaters. I wish I had one of those internet meme’s with someone squinting that says, “Don’t know if I should be excited, or scared.” Ah, what the Hell? I’m going to be excited until proven otherwise!
Since Bigfoots vs. Zombies is only in the development stages not much is known about it other than Uwe Boll is tapped to direct. Brian Burnette and Mark Schmid were signed on as screenwriters. Willi Kamarad, Ulrich P. Bruckner, Carey Borth, and Natalie Boll are attached as producers.
Since the film has officially optioned in November 2014, all of those working on this upcoming project are hoping it’ll go into production in the third or fourth quarter of 2015. Stay tuned!
Actually a movie called Bigfoot vs Zombies was shot by Polonia Bros last year and is slated to be released this Fall. Uwe’s gonna have to change his title.
