2011 – John Paxton, father of Bill Paxton. He was a actor and producer in such films as “Drag Me to Hell”, “Spider-Man 1-3”, “Frailty”, “Psycho Cop Returns” and “Brain Dead.” He was 91.

2005 – Maurice Zimm, who wrote the story “Creature From The Black Lagoon” on which the screenplay was based, passed away at the age of 96.

1998 – Character actor Dick O’Neil, who appeared in “The Wolfen” and “Gammera, The Invincible,” passed away at the age of 70.

1987 – Arthur C. Pierce, who directed the films “The Navy vs. the Night Monsters,” “Women of the Prehistoric Planet” and “Mutiny in Outer Space,” passed away at the age of 64.

1979 – Master monster mask maker Don Post passed away at the age of 77.
