2006 – Jack Palance, who starred in the Dan Curtis produced TV movies “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” and “Dracula,” passed away at the age of 87 . He also starred in the films “Man in the Attic,” “Without Warning” and “Batman.”

1992 – Chuck Connors, best known for playing “The Rifleman” on TV, passed away at the age of 71. He also starred in the film “Tourist Trap” and as “Janos Skorzeny” ( the name of the vampire from “The Night Stalker”) on the “Werewolf” TV series.

1968 – Gerald Mohr who starred in the film “The Angry Red Planet” and was the voice of “Reed Richards” in the 1960 cartoon “The Fantastic Four,” passed away at the age of 54.

1962 – Special effects whiz and father to “King Kong,” Willis O’Brien, passed away at the age of 76.
