2004 – Howard Keel, who starred in “Day of the Triffids,” passed away at the age of 85.

2002 – TV screenwriter Hilary Bader, whose work included such series as “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” and “Xena: Warrior Princess,” passed away at the age of 50.

1993 – Charles Aidman, the narrator for the 1980’s version of “The Twilight Zone,” passed away at the age of 68. He also appeared in the films “Alien Zone” and “Innerspace.”

1980 – Steve McQueen, star of “The Blob,” passed away at the age of 50.

1944 – Dwight Frye, appeared in “Dracula”, “Frankenstein”, “The Bride of Frankenstein”, “The Son of Frankenstein”, “Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man”, passed away at the age of 43.
