2008 – Prolific writer/actor/producer/director Michael Crichton passed away at the age of 66. Many of his novels were used for films, the most notable being “The Andromeda Strain” and “Jurassic Park.” He also wrote the screen plays for “Westworld,” “Coma” and “”Looker.”

2005 – Sheree North, who appeared in the films “Destination Inner Space” and “Maniac Cop,” passed away at the age of 73. She also played “Cosmo Kramer’s” mom “Babs” on “Seinfeld.”

2002 – Screenwriter Jerry Sohl, whose work included the screenplay’s for films such as “Curse of the Crimson Altar,” “Die Monster Die” and “Frankenstein Conquers the World,” passed away at the age of 88.

2002 – Antonio Margheriti, who directed the films “Battle of the Worlds,” “The Virgin of Nuremberg” and “The Long Hair of Death,” passed away at the age of 72.

1992 – Regina Carrol who appeared in “Dracula vs. Frankenstein,” “Blood of Ghastly Horror” and “Brain of Blood,” passed away at the age of 49.

1982 – Dominique Dunne, who starred in “Poltergeist,” succumbed to the supposed “Poltergeist Curse” and passed away at the age of 22.
