She played one of the most annoying characters in Halloween history, but actress Katee Sackhoff has gone on to achieve a very successful career in Hollywood. She was born in Oregon during the month of April 1980 and she booked her first big role in the teen-drama 15 and Pregnant in 1998. A year later she had a small part in the biopic Hefner: Unauthorized, followed by a small, recurring role on “Undressed” in 2000. After these gigs, she landed a role in Halloween: Resurrection (2002) which became a launch-pad for her continued success.
In Halloween: Resurrection, Katee Sackhoff plays the supporting character Jen. Jen is a Haddonfield University student and best friend to Sara Moyer and Rudy Grimes. Because of her scheming, the trio is cast on a new reality show from Dangertainment which puts college-aged kids in haunted places. As you can guess, the house they are put in belonged to Michael Myers. Allured by reality show fame, Jen takes her top off for the cameras and even initiates a prank to scare the other players. As the night went on, Jen and the others begin to realize the whole thing was a set up, but then it quickly becomes apparent that the deaths are real when another participant on the show, Bill, is found dead. Jen screams for help, but she is behead by Michael Myers just as Sara makes it to the staircase.
After Halloween: Resurrection, Katee Sackhoff started a long, recurring role on “Battlestar Galactica” from 2004 – 2009. In that time she also played the lead character in horror’s White Noise 2: The Light (2007), earned another recurring role in “Bionic Woman” in 2007, and made appearances on “Nip/Tuck” in 2009.
So, where is Katee Sackhoff now?
Furthering her television career, she next booked a frequent role on the 2010 season of “24” and guest spots on “CSI: Miami” from 2010 – 2011. She returned to horror and scifi in the following years with lead roles in A Deadly Obsession (2012), straight-to-DVD hit The Haunting in Connecticut: Ghosts of Georgia (2013), Riddick (2013), and box office hit Oculus (2014).
