The Halloween Tree (1993)
Tonight’s pick is a sentimental favorite of mine. The Halloween Tree is an animated film based on the book by Ray Bradbury. I’ve been watching this film at Halloween time for over 20 years and I just love it. This is the second film on my list this year from Bradbury. It’s just an enthralling animated adventure about the history of Halloween and what it means for a young, sick boy. Bradbury narrates the film himself and there is something about his voice when he is talking that is almost hypnotic and soothing. This is a film the entire family can watch together and you might even learn something. The voice acting is superb with favorites like Leonard Nimoy and Ray Bradbury.
The Halloween Tree is written by Ray Bradbury based on his book. It is directed by Mario Piluso and stars the voice talents of Ray Bradbury, Leonard Nimoy, Annie Barker, Alex Greenwald, Edan Gross, Andrew Keegan and Lindsay Crouse.
