One of the most bubbly, kind-hearted characters in the Halloween franchise… How could I not give Wendy a Where Are They Now post this year?
Wendy Foxworth got her start in Hollywood by booking guest spots on television shows including “My Two Dads” in 1987 and “Live In” and scifi’s “Alien Nation” in 1989. Also in 1989, Foxworth landed her biggest role to date – the lead role of Tina Williams in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers.
In Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Tina is the best friend of Rachel Carruthers and Samantha Thomas. Despite the fact that Jamie was now in a child’s mental institute, Tina was still a fiercely loyal friend and even snuck her dog, Max, in to visit with Jamie on the morning of Halloween 1989. Tina was excited for the Tower Farm party that evening, so excited in fact that she didn’t realize Michael Myers picked her up for the event, having killed her boyfriend and assuming his place. Eventually, Tina argued with Michael, who she still believed to be her boyfriend, causing him to drop her off on the side of the road. She was then picked up by police officers and taken to the children’s clinic where she learned that Jamie was now capable of speaking again. Jamie begged her to stay, but Tina went to the party anyway and was having so much fun she even pulled a prank on the town police. After the party ended, Tina finally realizes her friends have been butchered – as well as the police – and that Michael Myers was after Jamie again, who had left the hospital and was nearing the party. Michael then proceeds to chase after Tina with her boyfriend’s car, and eventually Tina is stabbed in the heart while sacrificing herself to save Jamie.
After Halloween 5, Wendy appeared in the biopic Summer Dreams: The Story of the Beach Boys followed by a recurring role as Eleni Cooper on “Guiding Light” from 1994 – 1995. And then, for reasons only known to her, she left Hollywood.
So, where is Wendy Foxworth now?
She returned to acting after a ten year hiatus with a cameo in horror’s Blood Deep. Her most recent roles include a part in the romance-drama The Mischievous Case of Cordelia Botkin (2011) and a cameo in horror’s Homecoming (2014). She still continues to work in various commercials and stage productions to this day.
