I’ve been having my doubts about the upcoming Universal Pictures Dracula Untold film. It looks to be more like Game of Thrones than a gothic horror film, but I will hold my judgement until I see it. Regardless, Universal has released a new clip for the film entitled “Castle Under Attack” which you can check out below.
The film is written by Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless and directed by Gary Shore. It stars Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Charles Dance, Samantha Barks, Charlie Cox, and Zach McGowan.
Look for Dracula Untold in theaters on October 17, 2014
Plot Synopsis
Luke Evans is starring as the most famous of vampires in an origin story that sees a Transylvanian prince risk eternal damnation in order to save his wife and son from a Turkish horde. Barks plays a figure in Eastern European folk tales known as a baba yaga, a beautiful young woman who turns into a savage witch. Kristjansson is Bright Eyes, an Eastern European taken as a slave as a young boy and now a vicious assassin in the Ottoman Army. Parkinson portrays Dracula’s son, named Ingeras.
