1944 – Jacqueline Bisset, who starred in “The Deep” and “Murder on the Orient Express.”

1932 – The late Richard Kiel who played “Jaws” in the James Bond films “The Spy Who Loved Me” and “Moonraker,” and appeared in the movies “Phantom Planet,” “The Human Duplicators” and the title role in “Eegah.” He also starred as “Peremalfait, the Swamp Monster” and “The Diablero” in “Kolchak: The Night Stalker.”

1931 – Barbara Bain, who co-starred with her ex-husband in the TV series “Space: 1999.”

1926 – Writer/illustrator Johnny Craig, whose work appeared in the famed line of EC horror comics.

1916 – Writer Roald Dahl, whose novel’s include “The Witches,” “James and the Giant Peach” and who also wrote the screenplays for the films “You Only Live Twice” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”

1913 – Roy Engel, who has appeared in “Kingdom of the Spiders,” “The Man From Planet X” and “The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms.”

1895 – Ruth McDevitt who played “Edith Cowles” on the “Kolchak, the Night Stalker” TV series and appeared in “The Birds.”

1894 – J.B. Priestley, who wrote the novel “Benighted,” on which the film “The Old Dark House” was based.
