Hear that? It’s the sound of millions of nerds – myself included! – complaining that the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie won’t be out for another two years!
Yes, it was officially announced by Lionsgate today that the tentative release date for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is July 22, 2016.
The script is completed, having been penned by Ashley Miller (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” “Fringe”) and Zack Stentz (X-Men: The Last Stand, Thor). Roberto Orci (“Sleepy Hollow,” “Hawaii 5-0”) is rumored to serve as executive producer.
“Power Rangers will be a modern reinvention of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a group of ordinary high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world.”
But…do they still have attitude?
