Comic-Con: ‘Leprechaun: Origins’ Creature Reveal!

WWE Films released the first image of the title creature from the upcoming Leprechaun: Origins film starring WWE Superstar Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl at the San Diego Comic-Con. This is not your daddy’s Leprechaun from the Warwick Davis starring films, this guy looks to be savage and there won’t be any one-liners spewing this time around. Check out the first image and trailer below.

Leprechaun: Origins is written by Harris Wilkinson and Zach Lipovsky (Tasmanian Devils) directs. It stars Stephanie Bennett (Grave Encounters 2), Andrew Dunbar (Ghost Storm), Melissa Roxburgh (Supernatural), Brendan Fletcher (Freddy vs. Jason, Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed), Garry Chalk (Godzilla), and Dylan Postl as the Leprechaun.

WWE Superstar Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl stars in Leprechaun: Origins, a brand new take on the horror franchise Leprechaun, reinventing the cult favorite and terrifying a new generation. The film will be available on Digital HD, Video On Demand and Pay-Per-View on August 26, and on Blu-ray (plus Digital HD) and DVD (plus Digital) on September 30.

Plot Synopsis

Backpacking through the lush Irish countryside, two unsuspecting young couples discover a town’s chilling secret. Ben (Dunbar), Sophie (Bennet), David (Fletcher) and Jeni (Roxburgh) quickly discover the idyllic land is not what it appears to be when the town’s residents offer the hikers an old cabin at the edge of the woods. Soon, the friends will find that one of Ireland’s most famous legends is a terrifying reality.
