I was browsing for new updates on Eliza Dushku’s latest movie, Eloise, this morning when I stumbled upon a bit of interesting information. A poster on the Eloise message board noted how it was interesting that three Wrong Turn actresses are appearing in Eloise: Eliza Dushku (Wrong Turn), Erica Leerhsen (Wrong Turn 2), and Terra Vnesa (Wrong Turn 4). This lead me to another completely different, but interesting set of information.
Erica Leerhsen who played Nina Papas in Wrong Turn 2 is also credited in the same role in the upcoming Wrong Turn 6.
If you remember, Nina Papas and Jake (played by Texas Battle) were the lone survivors of Wrong Turn 2, the sequel about a reality show in the backwoods of West Virginia that comes under attack by inbred hillbilly cannibals. Joe Lynch served as director before passing the reigns to Declan O’Brien.
I could only imagine why Nina Papas would return to the backwoods of West Virginia after she barely survived her short time there. Wrong Turn 6 has a new director, Valeri Milev, and maybe the best way to celebrate a new creator is with some good ol’ fashioned revenge?! Whatever the case may be, I’m excited to see what happens with this development.
Erica Leerhsen is one of the brightest scream queens in the game. Her previous credits include Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Living Hell, and Phobia.
Wrong Turn 6 is currently filming in Bulgaria on a script penned by Frank H. Woodward. Cast members include Sadie Katz, Roxanne Pallett, Anthony Ilott, Aqueela Zoll, Rollo Skinner, Chris Jarvis, Luke Cousins, and Danko Jordanov.
Wrong Turn 6 is expected to be released in the last quarter of 2014.
UPDATE: Leerhsen has confirmed on Twitter that she will not be a part of this Wrong Turn 6.
