I’m really struggling to find something positive to say here. This looks as b-movie as b-movie can get, and I don’t mean that in a good way. I guess it was a genius idea using cicadas as the insect killers of choice because they’re ugly and leave behind gross shell cases? Oh, and anything with C. Martin Croker can’t be that bad, right? Ah, well, Horror Society is an equal opportunity promoter. We share all budgets, all genres, and all productions. With that said, let me introduce you to Invasion of the Killer Cicadas.
Invasion of the Killer Cicadas comes straight to you from Mat Smith and Myron Smith, the pair who also brought you 2012’s Young Blood: Evil Intentions. They will also star in this creature feature short film alongside C. Martin Croker (“Perfect Hair Forever,” “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”), John R. Price II (Fear Fighter, Psychotic State), Mark Rainey, Pete Wells, Autumn Elliot, and Robert Hobbs III.
In Invasion of the Killer Cicadas, “A small humble town is plagued by killer cicadas, for them it seems hopeless. After two dimwitted service men spray the cicadas with chemicals mistaken for pesticide, these little buggers mutate to an uncontrollable size! Soon the planet is in peril as these colossal cicadas effortlessly demolish buildings and crush poor citizens! It seems there is only one man who can stop them before it’s too late. Will he be able to save the day? Or will the world fall victim to the Invasion of the Killer Cicadas?”
