Everyone knows that the line, “Get away from her, you bitch!” comes from the second movie in the iconic science fiction Alien franchise. But, do they know who her is? Who is Sigourney Weaver (as Ripley) fighting so hard to protect?

Carrie Henn played the adorable little girl, Newt, who befriends Ripley in 1986’s Aliens. Newt is the only survivor of a space colony that was slaughtered by Face Huggers and their grown Alien counterparts. Luckily, Newt is also one of three human survivors who escape the LV-426 attack and are destined for safety. That is until Alien 3 in 1992 when Newt is killed in a space ship crash soon after its escape launch in the previous movie. While Newt is one of the most driving forces in Alien 3, her character is scaled down heavily and Carrie Henn was replaced by Danielle Edmond
Still, Carrie’s role as Newt won her a Saturn Award and a Young Artist Award nomination.
So, where is Carrie Henn now?
Interestingly enough, when Carrie was a child she had never acted in a school play or talent show before landing the role of Newt in Aliens. The same goes for her career after the movie as she has not acted in any other role since that production. However, it’s obvious that she looks back on her extremely short lived movie career with dignity and respect. She frequently provides commentary and appears in Alien documentaries including Alien Revolution in 2001, The Alien Saga in 2002, The Making of Alien in 2003, and Alien Encounters: Superior Fan Power Since 1979 in 2014.
Instead Ms. Henn focused on developing a normal life. She earned a degree in Liberal Studies and Child Development in 2000 and currently works as a school teacher. She has one child with her husband Nathan Kutcher.
