Cable channel Showtime has premiered a new trailer for their upcoming gothic horror series entitled Penny Dreadful. It makes me a little upset because I do not have access to Showtime and the trailer really makes it look like bloody good fun. Check out the trailer down below.
Penny Dreadful is created, written, and executive produced by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan (Hugo, The Aviator, Gladiator) and stars Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Josh Hartnett, Rory Kinnear, Helen McCrory, and Billie Piper.
Look for the series to premiere on Showtime, May 11th, 2014.
Plot Synopsis
Some of literature’s most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and iconic figures from the novel Dracula, are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. “PENNY DREADFUL” is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.
