1998 – Ariel Winter, child actress best known for playing “Alex Dunphy” on “Modern Family”, who has appeared in “One Missed Call”, “Excision”, “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour (TV Series)”, “ParaNorman”, and more.

1981 – Elijah Wood, who played “Frodo Baggins” in the “Lord of the Rings” films. He has also appeared in the films “The Good Son,” “Deep Impact,” “The Faculty” and “Sin City.” He provided the voice of the title character in the Tim Burton film “9”, “Maniac”, “Cooties”.

1979 – Rosamund Pike, appeared in “Doom”, “Wrath of the Titans”, “The Devil You Know”, “The World’s End”.

1959 – Writer/director Frank Darabont, whose credits include the films “The Green Mile,” ” The Mist,” the 1994 version of “Frankenstein” and the 1988 version of “The Blob” and most recently the writer/creator of “The Walking Dead”.

1943 – John Beck, who appeared in the films “Cyborg 2087,” “The Bat People” and provided the voice of “The Punisher” on the mid 90’s “Spider-Man” cartoon series.

1941 – Joel Crothers, who played “Joe Haskell” on the daytime/nightmare soap opera “Dark Shadows.”

1936 – Alan Alda, best known for playing “Hawkeye Pierce” on the TV show “M*A*S*H.”He also starred in the films “The Mephisto Waltz,” “To Kill a Clown,” and the TV movie “Isn’t It Shocking?” (which, BTW, was a very good film)

1933 – Director Jack Hill, whose films include “Track of the Vampire,” “House of Evil” and “Spider Baby.”
