Sugar Skull Girls Begins Promotional Campaign!

SugarSkullGirlsI guess my audition as the Candy Corn Princess didn’t go over too well. Alas, Potent Media’s latest feature The Sugar Skull Girls is moving right along. Today a press release was distributed to blogs along with the first promotional image. All social media networks in promotion of the film have also been created and you can find those at the end of this post!

Potent Media, the makers of Deer Crossing and Apocalypse Kiss (coming out world wide April 8th) announce the first installment of cast members for their upcoming kids trilogy “POTENT MEDIA’S SUGAR SKULL GIRLS”.

Three demonic sisters who resemble neo-goth voodoo dolls are accidentally conjured from the other side during a failed attempt to raise a little girl from the dead. With impeccable fashion sense and teen aged angst, the Sugar Skull Girls will stop at nothing to escape the clutches of The Pale Witch, the ruler of The Shadow world.

Potent Media has cast Addy Miller (The Walking Dead, Dark Places) as lead Sugar Skull Girl “Luna”. Michael Berryman (The Devil’s Rejects, The Hills Have Eyes) comes back for his second appearance in a Potent Media Film and John Amplas (Martin, Day of the Dead) will be playing the Russian father to these demonic little brats.

Potent Media is making three SUGAR SKULL GIRLS films and plans on shooting the first two this summer.

Christian Grillo, writer/director of The Sugar Skull Girls promises a well know starring line-up with cameos from all genre’s of the industry. “We’re currently talking with the representation of some were well known actors. Fans of the Potent Media films will be very pleased with who may pop up in the SSG series of films.” Grillo states.

On top of releasing three films that already have secured a global distribution deal with Acort International, Potent Media is in the process of creating a toy line based on the characters in the SSG franchise.

Grillo adds, “We’re on to something big here. We have a very excited cast and enthusiastic fan base that is growing bigger every day. It only makes sense that Potent Media creates a franchise that will have a younger demographic.”

A teaser for The Sugar Skull Girls will be debuting some time by the end of February.
