The legend of the infamous Countess Elizabeth Bathory of Hungary is well known in annals of horrific history. She lived during the 16th Century and was labeled as the “Blood Countess” due to her notoriety as one of the most prolific female serial killers of all-time. It is purported that she would bathe in the blood of her female victims in order to remain young forever. Some called her a vampire, some called her a monster, either way her legend will live on forever.
The new film Lady of Csejte from Glacier Films begins production this week in Transylvania under the direction of Andrei Konst. According to Deadline, Production on the creepshow starts this week in, appropriately, Transylvania with rookie helmer Andrei Konst. Lady Of Csejte follows the murderous doings of Hungary’s Elizabeth Bathory, the sadistic 16th century “Blood Glacier FilmsCountess” remembered as history’s most prolific female serial killer. Svetlana Khodchenkova and Isabelle Allen star in the pic, which is being produced by Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) as the first of a new four-picture producing deal he signed with Glacier Films.
