Deadline is reporting, Olivia Cooke headlines the cast of Ouija, Universal’s horror film inspired by the Hasbro board game, with Douglas Smith as the male lead.
The pic follows a group of teens playing with a Ouija board, making contact with an evil spirit, and desperately trying to close the door they’ve opened before meeting their own fate.
Cooke and Smith will join previously cast Daren Kagasoff (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) in the film.
Ouija is written and directed by Stiles White and Juliet Snowden. It is produced by Jason Blum with his Blumhouse Productions along with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir.
